Les rires fusaient de partout hier soir alors que la classe de ma fille Savannah présentait une pièce de théâtre, “An Odyssey”. Savannah n’avait qu’un petit rôle mais elle s’est bien amusée. Pour ceux qui veulent passer un bon deux heures à voir des enfants entre 10 et 12 ans bourrés de talent, je vous invite à venir voir leur dernière représentation ce soir au Louden Nelson Center à Santa Cruz à 19h00.
L’acteur principal, Nathan Allen, vaut le déplacement en lui-même. Un joyeux luron Africain-Americain aux formes généreuses, il n’a pas la langue dans sa poche. Il possède un délicieux sens de l’humour. J’ai dit à ma fille Savannah que si j’aurais 11 ans, je serais éperduement en amour avec ce garçon. Elle m’a regardée d’un air et m’a avouée qu’il était bien trop gros pour elle. Je lui ai rappelée gentiment que l’amour vient sous toute forme, grosseur et couleur. Avec Nathan, cela en fait juste un peu plus à aimer.

Laughs were coming from all over last night while my daughter Savannah’s class presented their play, “An Odyssey”. Savannah had only a small role but had fun. For those who want to attend a good two-hour show with quite talented 10 to 12 years old kids, I invite you to see the last presentation of the play tonight at Louden Nelson Center in Santa Cruz at 7 PM.
The main actor, Nathan Allen, is worth himself the trip to see the play. A happy-go-lucky African-American with generous curves, he loves to speak out his mind. He possess a delightful sense of humor. I told my daughter Savannah that if I were 11, I would be head over heel in love with this boy. She looked at me gravely and admitted that he is way too fat for her. I reminded her gently that love comes under any shape, size, and color. With Nathan, you just have a little more to love.
I am leaving you with my first little video (non edited) on the French Can-can scene. My daughter Savannah is the smallest blond girl on the video. Nathan is the funny African-American with a small skirt.
