Yesterday, for the first time in my life, I attended the Good Friday mass. I knew that my mother, when she was little, this Mass lasted two hours. Today, most churches shorten this Mass for one hour. Except, the St. Joseph's Catholic Church...
Yesterday I went to the church in crutches, not knowing that most of the time, we fully expect the faithfuls should be standing most of the time. Try to stand 30 minutes on one foot and a half and you will understand that I started to tire a bit. As I wanted to stay for the Stations of the Cross, so I remained in the church for 3:45. I came back home, completely exhausted.
Frankly, I do not know if I am going back next year...

Good Friday mass is always long! I've attended 3 hours one. :'(
Anyway, happy easter!
Hi Collections,
Well, sometimes praying at home is just the same. I am paying the price this weekend of standing so long with my broken foot.
Hi Karen90,
If it were for standing for 30 minutes, it would be OK but about half the mass was expected to be stand up. It was just too much for me (I have a broken heel now).
Happy Easter to you also, Jessille.
