Tristesse... / Sadness...

I always appreciated the services of my housecleaner until yesterday. As you can see, with the photo underneath, the reason of my sadness. I was on the phone with the bank when I heard a shattered loud noise on the first floor. When I hung up and realized the damage, it was pure horror for me.

The housecleaner broke the bust that was made and bought in 1999. The artist, Karen Card, made this bust out of my pregnant body when I was expecting my daughter Savannah. I contacted the artist and maybe she will be able to repair or make me a new one. I can tell you that I cried a lot. Yes, this bust was a work-of-art but it was more than that for me; it was a deep sentimental value.

Now, I have to make the decision to either forget the incident, ask the housecleaner to pay for the damage (she is not bonded) or fire her. What would you do if you were me?
