Samuel P. Taylor State Park

--------------------------------

Oye! Oye! For those of you who love national parks, many parks were due to close in 2012 because of lack of funding. One of those, Samuel P. Taylor State Park will remain opened. A mere $8 will get you to see this beautiful California park.

Are you serious. Do they actually close parks because of lack of funding? It is the first time I hear a such thing. Doesnt the state fund it?

Hi PAPS,

Yes, the park situation has been critical since a long time. It has been a voting proposition too but people are cheap and would rather have the government to pay to keep those parks open. We have a similar situation with the libraries but many volunteers came forward to keep them opened. I hope the same will go with the park situation. The government waste too much money in other department (such as war and army) in my own opinion...
