On connait surtout la belle ville de Monterey comme l’hôte du bel aquarium mais il y a également l’incontournable Monterey Museum of Art. Jusqu’en décembre 2012, le musée présente quatre murales de l’artiste italien Gottardo Piazzoni.

C’est une occasion d’admirer des oeuvres qui sont rarement présentés au grand public. “Ce que Piazzoni était intéressé à faire était de représenter l’esprit des paysages,” nous dit E. Michael Whittingtn, le directeur exécutif du musée.

Un occasion en or de voir la Californie artistique.

We especially know the city of Monterey as the host of its marvelous aquarium but there is also the Monterey Museum of Art. Until December 2012, the museum presents four murals from Italian artist Gottardo Piazzoni.

It is an opportunity to admire artwork that are rarely shown to the public. “What Piazzoni was interested in doing was evoking the spirit of a landscape,” says E. Michael Whittington, the museum’s executive director.
