Stamp Out Hunger

Il y a beaucoup de postiers qui seront occupés en ce samedi. C’est le fameux jour “Stamp Out Hunger” qui ramasseront des biens non-perissables toute la journée. À chaque année, le deuxième samedi de mai, c’est une tradition pour la société américaine des postes, d’amasser de la nourriture qui sera ensuite distribué aux plus démunis. On estime qu’un Américain sur sept a besoin d’aide alimentaire pour survivre.

En faisant mon ménage du printemps il y a quelques semaines avec mon fils, j’ai donc trouvée des conserves à donner en don et j’ai rempli un plein sac. J’espère que cela sera bénéfique pour des gens dans le besoin.

There are a lot of mailmen who will be busy on this Saturday. Today is Stamp Out Hunger, a day to collect non-perishable food. Each year, on the second Saturday of May, it is a tradition for the United States Postal Service to collect food that will be distributed to the needy. We estimate that one American out of seven needs food banks to survive.

While doing my Spring cleaning a few weeks ago with my son, I found some cans to give away for today and I filled up a bag. I hope that it will be beneficial for people in need.
