Marilyn Ritter

En ce lundi matin, comme à tout les lundis, je vous présente une femme à succès de la Silicon Valley: Marilyn Ritter. Récemment nommé comme une des femmes d’affaires ayant le plus d’influence a Silicon Valley, elle est à la tête de Creation Ground Media. Chaque année, 100 femmes triés sur le volet dans le milieu de la haute-technologie, investissement, scientifique, médical et organismes à but non-lucratif.

Possédant de nombreuses expériences dans le domaine du vidéo corporatif, elle a le talent pour comprendre les attentes de ses nombreux clients et de faire face à la compétition féroce dans ce milieu. Titulaire d’un baccalauréat en éducation de la Indiana University, elle a débutée dans le milieu en dirigeant un des premiers restaurants végétariens du Midwest. C’est en compagnie de son partenaire George Cohn qu’elle a créé son premier vidéo.

“Notre premier gros projet était un documentaire corporatif sur les tapis fait à la main, qui était filmé au Nepal. Nous avons reçu le trophée Platinum Best of Show Aurora pour ce vidéo. Je savais que j’avais trouvé un bon filon et que je pouvais avoir une véritable compagnie sur ce passe-temps créative!”

Depuis, Mme Ritter n’a jamais cessée d’avoir le vent dans les voiles.

On this Monday morning, like any Mondays, I am introducing you to a successful Silicon Valley businesswoman: Marilyn Ritter. Recently nominated as one of Silicon Valley Woman of the Year, she is at the head of Creation Ground Media. Each year, 100 women are picked from different fields: high-profile lawyers, venture capitalists, scientists, health care leaders, technology pros and nonprofit executives.

Possessing numerous experiences in the corporate video field, she has the talent to understand the expectation of her various clients and to face fierce competitions. With a degree in education from Indiana University, she started in this field while managing one of the first vegetarian restaurants in the Midwest. It is along with her partner George Cohn that she created her first video.

“Our first big project was a corporate documentary about handcrafted heirloom carpets, which was filmed on location in Nepal. We received the Platinum Best of Show Aurora Award for the video. I knew then I had to get busy and create a real business around my creative passion!”

Since then, Ritter has never stopped her creative inner!
