Hier, j’ai eue la chance de passer toute la journée en compagnie de l’historien Sandy Lydon. Très connu et populaire dans la région de Santa Cruz, Lydon nous a fait vivre l’histoire de Point Lobos, un magnifique parc national de la Californie.
La température était assez froide, merci avec de la pluie occasionnelle mais la journée en valait la peine. Des paysages a en couper le souffle de même que des bribes d’histoire du site que seul Lydon connait. C’était ma première excursion de ce genre avec Sandy Lydon et je me promets de renouveller l’expérience de nouveau. Mon but premier était de faire un premier vidéoblogue avec ma journée avec Sandy Lydon mais ma caméra n’est pas compatible avec mon nouvel ordinateur. Par contre, je me suis enregistré pour sa prochaine excursion dans un mois et je vous promet un vidéoblogue. Vous aurez le plaisir d’entendre cet historien unique.

Yesterday, I had the chance to spend the whole day with Santa Cruz historian Sandy Lydon. Quite famous and popular in the Santa Cruz area, Lydon made us live through time in Point Lobos, a wonderful California State Park.
The weather was quite cold with occasional rain but the outing was worth the pain. Breathtaking sceneries combined with bits of interesting stories related to the site that only Lydon knows about. It was my first historical learning experience with Sandy Lydon and I am promising myself to renew the experience. My first goal was to make a videoblog out of Sandy’s yesterday lecture but I found out my camcorder is not compatible with my new computer. Hence, it will be next time as I already registered for Lydon’s next historical learning class in March… and I will get a new camcorder meanwhile! You will have the delight to hear this great mean talk!
