Son initiative a également ouvert d’autres pages pour des villes faisant partie du comté de Santa Cruz, tel que Watsonville, Boulder Creek et Capitola/Soquel.

When Mariah Hicks, a young woman originally from Santa Cruz and now living in Utah, opened a Facebook account called “You know you grew up in Santa Cruz when…”, she couldn’t imagined to have so many people wanting to be friends with her on the popular social media site.
The page started with only a few hundreds people to end up by thousands of them shortly. It is a true historic page, told by nostalgic people who have lived part of their life in the nice city of Santa Cruz. Her initiative has also open up for others to create pages for other cities part of Santa Cruz, such as Watsonville, Boulder Creek and Capitola/Soquel.
Even though Hicks now lives in Utah with her small family, she dreams to move back to Santa Cruz. “I liked everything, the people, the shops, the ocean view. I miss the beach.”
