Nouvelle chef à Santa Cruz / New Chef in Santa Cruz

One of my favorite restaurants (and the favorite of many locals), the Shadowbrook, recently nominated their new chef: a female, Santa Cruz native, called Ashley Hosmer.

Chef Hosmer is a graduate from the Cordon Bleu program. She was the sous-chef at the Shadowbrook after working for a while at the St. Regis Hotel in Princeville, Kauai, Hawaii. Of all the years I’ve been living in Santa Cruz and despite the bad economy, the restaurant is always packed to the roof. Considered as one of the most romantic restaurants in town, Shadowbrook is renowned for its impeccable service, excellent food and the magnificent location.

Congratulation to chef Ashley for her promotion!
