Eureka Cartography

Map fans, you will be spoiled with my blog today. I am writing about a company, located in Silicon Valley, that specializes in maps. Eureka Cartography, that exists for a good number of years now, makes maps for a varied clientele, whether it is for individuals or companies or even government agencies.

The company, founded 17 years ago by two cartographers, Mark Williams and Stace Wright, has seen the world of maps evolved since its very beginning. While in the late 80’s people were doing maps solely by hand, the company is now using a mapping software, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to help out with the workload. The two cartographers agree that they are still doing some of the work by hand, still.

Both of the them said that since their childhood, they never lost their passion for road maps.
