Plus de 70 artistes et 150 pièces représentant des peintures, mosaiques, céramiques, bijoux et installations 3-D contribuent à l’exposition. L’évènement souligne la tradition des familles qui, à minuit, se rendrent au cimetière ensemble et décorent les pierres tombales avec des chandelles, fleurs et nourritures et attendent que les esprits des morts viennent les visiter.
Pour ceux qui sont dans la région de Pasadena, c’est un évènement à ne pas manquer!

We often perceive the day of the dead as an extension of the Halloween day. However, it is all the contrary. It is a traditional Mexican holiday and for the 27th year, the Folk Tree Gallery in Pasadena, California has an art exhibit, “Day of the Dead Altars and Ephemera.”
More than 70 artist and 150 artworks presenting paintings, mosaics, ceramics, jewelries and installations are contributing to the exhibit. The event is all about the tradition that relatives and close family members gather to walk to the cemetery together to adorn grave sites with candles, marigolds and food and wait for the spirits of the deceased to visit.
For those who are in the Pasadena area, it is an event not to be missed!
