Stephanie Monson, une agente immeuble de Walnut Creek en Californie a pensé à créer un centre d’échange pour vêtements et jouets d’enfants dans sa communauté. À date, plus de 40 bénévoles de la SCA ont organisé deux évènements d’échange et prévoient en organisé trois autres cette année. L’équipe fait du bouche-à-oreille ainsi qu’une distribution massive de pamphlets. Les bénévoles s’occupent également de nettoyer tout les jouets et de laver et repasser tout les vêtements donnés.
Les évènements d’échange sont fait sur une période de trois heures et sont tenus dans une école locale. Le tout ressemble à un magasin et non à un centre de triage. Un bel exemple à suivre pour les autres communautés!

Stephanie Monson, a Walnut Creek, California realtor thought of creating an exchange center for children clothing’s and toys in her community. Up to date, more than 40 SCA volunteers have organized two exchange events and plan to organize three more this year. The team promotes the event with word-to-mouth as well as massive flyer distribution. Volunteers also are responsible to clean every toy and wash and iron all the clothes given to the organization.
The exchange events are done on a 3-hour period and are held in a local school. Everything looks like a real store, not like a rummage sale. A nice example to follow for the other community!
