Nouvelle esthéticienne / New Esthetician

Eh bien, il y a de ces jours où certaines nouvelles nous affectent plus que d’autres. Quelle ne fut pas ma surprise ce weekend de lire le journal local et d’y découvrir que mon esthéticienne de longue date (7 ans!), Sonya Harting, avait été arrêtée par les autorités policières pour des soupcons de fraudes envers ses clients.

Chaque fois que j’avais des soins à son salon, je payais toujours comptant car c’était plus pratique pour moi. L’article révélait qu’elle avait fermée boutique et avait fraudée des clients avec leur carte de crédit. En fait, la propriétaire du bâtiment aurait mis à la porte Sonya et sa compagnie, Spoiled Rotten Spa.

Comme elle risque de se retrouver derrière les barreaux avec un jumpsuit orange pour un bon petit bout et le fait que je me demandée si c’était vraiment une bonne idée de faire des affaires avec quelqu’un accusée de fraude, j’ai trouvée une nouvelle esthéticienne il y a deux jours. Celle-ci, Shauna, travaille dans un salon situé à Capitola, le salon Fusion Salon and Spa. Shauna sera donc ma nouvelle esthéticienne.

Well, there are days where some news affects us more than others. It was my surprise this weekend to read in the local newspaper and find out that my long time esthetician (7 years!), Sonya Harting, has been arrested by the police for alleged credit card fraud.

Each time I had esthetic care at her salon, Spoiled Rotten Spa, I always paid cash because it was more practical to me. The article revealed that she closed her shop and had done fraudulent transaction with her customer’s credit cards. In fact, the building’s owner had evicted Sonya a few months ago.

Because she risks being behind the bar wearing an orange suit for a while and the fact of making business with someone accused of frauds is not really appealing to me, I decided to find another esthetician two days ago. This latter, Shauna, works in a salon located in Capitola, Fusion Salon and Spa. So, Shauna will be my new esthetician!
