Chien perdu, chien retrouvé! / Lost Dog, Found Dog!

Chaque année, des milliers de chiens et chats se retrouvent dans des refuges de la région de Silicon Valley. Une grosse majorité d’entres eux sont des animaux ramassés, errant dans la rue. Tragiquement, seulement 20% des chiens et 2% des chats vont revoir leur maître.

Afin d’aider les propriétaires à retrouver leur toutou favori, une nouvelle page Facebook a vue le jour, la South County Lost Pets. Le service est gratuit pour tous et le but est de réunir maître et animal ensemble.

Every year, thousands of wayward cats and dogs pour into the animal shelters in the Silicon Valley. The majority of these animals are strays, picked up by animal control officers or brought in by concerned citizens. Tragically, only 20% of the dogs and 2% of the cats will ever see their original owners again.

In order to help owners to be reunited with their favorite friend, a new Facebook page was born recently, South County Lost Pets. This page is provided as a free service with the goal of reuniting more pets with their owners and keeping pets out of shelters.
