Un phare qui illumine le Pacifique / A lighthouse that shine light on the Pacific

Non loin de la ville de San Francisco se trouve Pigeon Point. Pigeon Point, c’est un phare d’une beauté incroyable qui a vu le jour en 1872. Il a été créé à la suite d’un incident en 1853 où le paquebot Pigeon Voyageur s’est écrasé contre les rochers. Il a fallu plus de trois autres incidents de ce genre avant la création de ce phare.

Not far from the city of San Francisco is Pigeon Point. Pigeon Point, it is a picturesque lighthouse that was created in 1872. It was built after a 1853 incident when cargo ship Carrier Pigeon crashed on the rocks of the site. There has been three more incidents of that kind before the lighthouse was up and running.
