Qui dit petit gâteaux, dit souvenir d’enfance bien souvent! C’est vraiment le sentiment qu’on a quand on planté nos dents dans un des petits gâteaux du tout nouveau magasin Sparkles Cupcakes (www.sparklescupcakes.com), situé à Capitola.
Un article dans un journal local m’a poussé à amener les enfants dans ce magasin, qui ne sert que des petits gâteaux. 97 variétés dont 15 disponible par jour. Déjà, à notre arrivée, une bonne file d’attente s’étendait du comptoir à la porte. Mes enfants étaient bien excités à la vue de nombreux petits gâteaux et ils ont portés leur choix sur le traditional gâteau au chocolat et celui avec des barres de chocolat Snickers.
Le magasin, ouvert par Lisa Brighton et sa fille Connie, est très populaire. Elles ont été inspiré d’ouvrir leur propre commerce après une mise à pied et avoir visitée plus de 21 magasins de petits gâteaux à travers la Californie. Par contre, seulement 5% des magasins visites font leur gâteaux de A à Z, sans utiliser de préparations commerciales. C’est sûrement ça le secret de leur succès.
Toute les personnes en ligne à qui j’ai parlée étaient l à pour leur 2ème ou 3ème visite et tous avouent que les petits gâteaux Sparkles Cupcakes fond dans leur bouche.
Je dois avouer, qu’après y avoir goûté, je joins le club des fans de Sparkles Cupcakes!

A newspaper article pushed my curiosity to check it out yesterday with the kids. The store only serve what it does best: cupcakes! 97 variety and only 15 of those available on a daily basis. Already, upon our arrival, a good customer line spreads from the counter to the door. My kids were really excited to see the cupcakes display and they decided to try their luck with the traditional chocolate flavor and the Snicker’s candy bar special.
The store, opened by Lisa Brighton and her daughter Connie, is really popular. They were inspired to open their own cupcake shop after a layoff and visiting more than 21 cupcake stores in California. However, only 5% of the visited stores make their cupcakes from scratch. It is certainly the secret of their success.
Everybody in line I talked to were there for their second or third visit and admitted that the Sparkles Cupcakes literally melt in their mouth.
I have to admit that, after tasting the cupcakes, I am joining their fan club. I’ll be back, Sparkles Cupcakes!
