Vendredi 13! / Friday the 13th!

Ne passez surtout pas sous une échelle et évitez les chats noirs aujourd’hui! Pourquoi? Nous sommes un vendredi 13! Je connais des gens qui ne se lèveront pas de leur lit ce matin par peur d’avoir une journée remplie de malheurs. Ce sont les gens qui croient que les vendredis 13 sont à éviter à tout prix.

Quand j’étais jeune, j’y croyais dur comme fer. Ce n’est que plus tard que ma peur s’est effacée. J’ai même fait l’achat de ma toute première auto un vendredi 13, soir de pleine lune! Et cet auto a été fantastique. C’est tout dire!

D’après la Stress Management Center and Phobia Institute à Asheville en Caroline du Nord, on estime qu’il y a de 17 à 21 millions de personnes aux USA qui sont affectées par la peur du vendredi 13. On estime qu’ à chaque vendredi 13, il y aurait entre 800$ et 900S million de dollars en perte d’affaire, due aux gens qui n’osent pas sortir ce jour-là.

Serait-ce une mauvaise journée pour être en business?

When I was young, I was strongly superstitious. It is only later in age that my fear faded away. I even purchased my first car on a Friday the 13th, evening where it was a full moon. And this car was fantastic. Can you believe it?

We estimate that every Friday the 13th, that $800 to $900 million dollars is lost in business on this day, due to people who don’t get out of their house that day.

Is it such a bad day to be in business?
