Samedi dernier, la jeune femme de Thousand Oaks en Californie, a dit aurevoir a ses amis et sa famille et est partie à la conquête du monde. Elle devrait être partie pour une période d’au moins 5 mois.
Alors que plusieurs jeunes de son âge rêvent de devenir un docteur ou ingénieur, Abby avait d’autres plans en tête. Son frère aîné a déjà terminé le même exploit à l’âge de 17 ans et elle entends bien battre son record avec son exploit nautique. Les parents de la jeune fille, ainsi que ses 6 frères et soeurs, la supportent dans son projet.

If she succeed her goal, Abby Sunderland, 16, will become the youngest person to sail solo around the word. Last Saturday, the young woman from Thousand Oaks, California, said goodb-bye to her friends and family and set sail to conquer the world. She should be gone for at least 5 months.
While many youth of her age dream to become doctor or engineer, Abby had other plans in mind. Her older brother just finish the same journey at 17 and she believes she can beat his nautical record. Abby’s parents, as well as her 6 brothers and sisters, support her in her project.
