L’attente pouvait être plus d’une heure pour avoir une image en 3-dimensions et ainsi, détecter un possible cancer du sein. Maintenant, Nvidia a créé une chip graphique qui prend la moitié du temps.
Le but, évidemment, est de faire le scan et permettre au médecin de parler à la patiente durant la même visite. L’important investissement financier de Nvidia en 2006 peut maintenant leur rapporter des gros sous dans un future plus ou moins loin.
