Ce parc national de la Californie a plusieurs vergers, gracieusété des premiers immigrants dand les années 1800s. On peut y trouver les pommes de type Spitzenberg, Winesap, King et Northern Spy. Afin d’avoir une bonne cueillette, les gens doivent compétitioner avec les ours qui demeurent dans le parc car ceux-ci aiment également ce fruit.
La cueillette débute à la mi-août, bon an mal an.

It is finally the Fall season and, of course, it’s time to pick apples! There are several spots where you can go pick yourself apples but nothing beat going to Yosemite.
This California national park has many orchards, thanks to the first settlers in the 1800s. In the park, you can find rare apple varieties such as Spitzenberg, Winesap, King and Northern Spy. In order to have a nice harvest, people have to compete with bears which also live in the park and particularly love this fruit.
The picking season starts usually around mid-August.
