Mitchell Baker

Dans une série d’articles publiés tout les lundis, je vous parlerai de femmes d’affaires montantes dans la Silicon Valley. Je débute par une femme qui est à la tête de la compagnie Mozilla Foundation qui a créé entre autre l’engin de recherche Firefox.

Avocate de profession, elle coordonne les affaires et les conflits politiques au sein de la compagnie. En 2005, le magazine Time l’incluait dans sa liste des 100 personnes ayant le plus d’influence dans le monde. Au travail, son surnom est “Chief Lizard Wrangler”.

En Novembre 1994, Baker a été l’une des premières employés au sein de la compagnie Netscape Communications Corporation. Après un bref séjour chez Open Source Applications Foundation, elle a joint Mozilla Corporation peu de temps après.

Malgré un horaire du temps charge, Baker aime passer du temps en famille (elle est mariée à Casey Dunn et a un fils) et aime pratiquer le trapèze.

In a series of articles published every Monday, I will write about Silicon Valley business women to watch in the coming years. I am starting with a woman who is at the head of the Mozilla Foundation company, that created Firefox as one of their products.

Despite a hefty work schedule, Baker loves to spend time with her family (she is married to Casey Dunn and have one son) and love to practice trapeze.
