If you have gone to a California SPCA lately, you have probably seen they all have a common point: they are overloaded with Chihuahuas! You are dreaming to own one? Don’t be shy; this is the kind of dog that shelters have more than the demand is.
This kind of dog represents 30% of all the races that end up at the SPCA. We think the Hollywood and its toy-dog trendiness is mostly to blame. At the time, we could see numerous films and photos with these dogs as perfect photo accessories. However, people got tired of this trend and shelters ended up with an overpopulation of these dogs.
We could say that these Hollywood airheads could go smoothly next time when it comes to pick feature items for their hit movies.
