Hier, ma fille Savannah était invitée à un mariage de la mère d'une amie. Donc, pour la grande occasion, elle a ré-utilisée la robe qu'elle avait pour le mariage de sa grande soeur.

Yesterday, my daughter Savannah was invited to a wedding of a friend's mother. So, for the big event, she re-used the dress she wore for her big sister's wedding.

Une beauté au mariage / A beauty at a Wedding

Ce n'est pas Savannah qui sera la plus laide au mariage de sa grande soeur! Samedi dernier, elle a essayée la robe qu'elle portera au mariage de sa grande soeur le 18 juin. N'est-elle pas jolie?

It won't be Savannah who will be the ugliest duck at her big sister's wedding! Last Saturday, she tried it in, for the last fittnig, the dress she will wear at her big sister's wedding on June 18th. Isn't she gorgeous?

La belle Savannah / Pretty Savannah

Qui n'a jamais rêvé d'une robe de mariée ou du moins être une fille d'honneur? Dimanche dernier, nous sommes allés au magasin Pricilla's of Boston, situé dans le centre d'achat Santana's Row à San Jose. Ce magasin ne vend que des robes de mariée ainsi que des robes pour les filles d'honneur et la mère de la mariée.

Ma fille Savannah sera une fille d'honneur au mariage de sa grande soeur, Nikki, mariage qui aura lieu en juin prochain. Nous avons choisi une robe qui lui sied à merveille.

Voici un apperçu de la jolie robe qu'elle portera pour le grand jour. N'est-elle pas jolie?

Who has never dreamt to wear a wedding dress or being at least a bridemaid? Last Sunday, we went to Pricilla's of Boston, a wedding store located in the Santana Row's shopping center in San Jose. This store only sells dresses for wedding, whether it is for the bride, bridemaids or mother of the bride.

My daughter Savannah will be a bridemaid for the wedding of her big sister, Nikki. The wedding will take place next June. We picked a dress that fits Savannah wonderfully.

Here is a sneak preview of the pretty dress she will wear for the big day. Isn't she beautiful?

Party!

Le weekend dernier, nous avons célébrée la fête de ma fille Savannah. Quel genre de party veut une petite fille de onze ans? Elle a demandée que ses invités (Isabella, Franny, Quinn, Milan et Mara) viennent chez-nous en fin de journée samedi et y passent la nuit. Tout simplement!

Last weekend, we celebrated my daughter Savannah’s birthday. What kind of party wish an eleven years old girl? She asked that her guests (Isabella, Franny, Quinn, Milan and Mara) come to our house late Saturday afternoon and spend the night with her. That’s simple!

Rien n'est plus spécial que l'anniversaire d'un enfant. Aujourd'hui, c'est un grand jour pour ma fille Savannah. Elle a 11 ans. Née à 19h58 un mardi soir, c'est un moment que je n'oublierai jamais de ma vie.

Il y a onze ans, mon mari et moi connaissions un grand moment de bonheur. Je souhaite donc à ma grande fille un bon anniversaire.

Nothing is more special than the birthday of a child. Today, it is a big day for my daughter Savannah. She is turning 11. Born at 7:58 PM on a Tuesday night, it is a moment I will never forget of all my life.

10 ans déjà! / Already 10 years!

Aujourd'hui, c'est un grand jour. Il y a 10 ans, ma vie allait être complètement changée. Ma fille Savannah est née. Donc, en ce grand jour, par une belle journée ensoleillée, je célèbre ce grand jour.

10 ans plus tard, le 20 octobre 2009, nous célébrons ensemble sa fête. /

10 years later, on October 20th 2009, we are celebrating her birthday.

Un cadeau qui roule… / A rolling gift…

Que peut bien vouloir une petite fille qui va avoir 10 ans? Quand j’avais l’âge de ma fille, je m’étais fait achetée une bicyclette 10 vitesses Sekine vert forêt. Ma fille Savannah, qui a étrangement les mêmes goûts que moi, a décidée qu’elle voulait également une bicyclette… verte!

Hier, nous nous sommes rendus au Family Cycling Center pour acheter son cadeau. Çi-dessous sont des photos de son cadeau:

What would a soon-to-be10-years old little girl want? When I had my daughter’s age, I received a nice hunter green Sekine 10-speed bicycle. My daughter Savannah, who strangely has the same taste than I, also decided to have a green bicycle!

Yesterday, we went to Family Cycling Center to get her gift. Underneath are pictures of her gift:

La SPCA (Société protectrice des Animaux) du comté de Santa Cruz a récemment lance un concours de dessin pour un poster sur la semaine de "Be Kind To Animal."

Le concours est ouvert aux jeunes de la maternelle jusqu'à la sixième année qui vont à l'école dans le comté de Santa Cruz. Les jeunes ont jusqu'a 17h00 ce soir pour participer.
