I want to give a special thank you to American Airlines for their stellar unaccompanied minor service. Kudo! My children didn't miss us too much after all. They offered me a lovely pair of earrings purchased in Shawinigan, Quebec.
A day that ended on a happy note for all!

Garder sa jeunesse! / Keep your youth!

Her new project is all about creating silhouette figures or imageries in a bubble. She cut and paste these artwork on a wall and wait for hours for the right person to pass by. She takes a picture of the moment. It creates photos that reflect a variety of feelings. Her portfolio is creative and amusing to look at.

Laisser aller… / Letting go…
Bon voyage!

At what age can a child travel in the air without his parents? Many parents are hesitating to send their children alone on a trip. I have two friends who sent their son alone at the other side of the country, while they were only 7 years old. For me, 7 years old is a little young. But it is only a personal opinion.
Big airline companies have usually laws quite similar among themselves for minor children traveling alone: between 5 to 7 years old, a child can travel alone (with a tutor) on nonstop and through flights; between the age of 8 and 11 years old: a child can travel alone (with a tutor) on any flight; and finally, a child between the age of 12 and 17 can travel alone on any flight without restrictions. However, many carriers require a tutor for international traveling.
So, yesterday, I let my children fly alone to Canada. The experience was difficult emotionally to let them go but everything went well. I have to tip my hat to American Airlines to have do a work of pro. I am happy that my kids didn’t have a bad experience like the young Julien Reid with United Airlines last July 27th.
If you are thinking to let your children travel alone by plane, I am recommending this site: http://blog.newsok.com/hiccups/2010/06/10/kids-flying-alone-this-summer/
Enjoy trsveling!
