It is today that was the first mandatory meeting for any student interested in studying next year at the middle/high school Pacific Collegiate.
This charter school, one of the best in USA, has 88 open spots for any 7th grade student. Whether we apply the first or last day before the lottery, it is by numerical lottery that a student can win a spot at the school.
This morning, there was a mandatory meeting for any new student interested by this school. So, we did it and we will have to wait until February 23rd to see if Savannah got a spot to study there next year.

Bannis des campus / Ban from Campus

If you have to go to a high school campus in the next years, you might end up not finding a Gatorade vending machine. It will be the same as finding metal baseball bats or teenagers with pierced nipples. This is the kind of proposals some people want.
However, as you can only imagine, not everybody agree on these matters. One of those is Eddie Muro, a 17-year-old class president of Big Bear High School: “It’s like they are trying to control our lives for us. If a kid is 17, he can sign up for the Marines to fight for his country, but people are deciding what he can drink at school? It’s ridiculous.”
We will see if those proposals will be on the next election ballot…
