Yesterday was not a resting day with our dog that was limping and started to have a sore spot on his back. So, a little emergency trip to the vet and we fixed the problem.
The worst for our dog: the Elizabethan collar he has to wear during 2 weeks! Poor him!

Soccer Superstar vs Nathalie

This blog won’t please to many people, I think. But, I don’t care! Yesterday, I realized one of my dreams. While I am living in the Santa Cruz mountains and being a woman, I always said that it is worth it to have multiple talents and be self-sufficient.
Not only you should know how to cook a decent meal on the fireplace (because we often have power outages during rain season), but you have also to know how to repair many things that might break. I consider myself really resourceful except if a tree would fall on the road. I was provided, years ago, with an extensive list of phone numbers of men owning a chain saw who could possibly help me out. And I always wondered: “But what if I would learn how to handle a chainsaw?” Often, we are only well-served by ourself.
Finally, my husband understood and yesterday, I got my chainsaw 101 first lesson. And I sawed in part a big tree. And I still have both my arms and my legs at the time I am writing this blog. It was a lot of work to manipulate a chainsaw but I did it! I am proud of myself but surely not my parents when they will read this blog.
Under my husband's direction, I was able to cut a good part of this tree.

It is not a secret for anyone that I've been longing to own a dog to run with. I had the sadness to loose my last dog in December and I never found the ideal dog since then.
Yesterday, on my way back to a San Francisco trip, I stopped at the San Mateo SPCA and I felt in love with Bolt, a Border Collie mix. This dog is very affectionate, active, and smart. He is very social, especially with cats (however, the cats are not really fond of him).
He is only 4 months old but it is a dog that already impress me. I have heard of this breed before but only a few people can actually bear it as they can't keep up with it. Because we are not sure which exact date he is born but know he was born in March, I decided to share my birthday with him (March 26th).
Underneath are multiple pictures of Bolt.
