A few days ago, we found a little brown sparrow with a broken leg on our outside doorstep. After several calls to local veterinaries, we were told that they couldn't take care of wild animals and we had to call Native Animal Rescue of Santa Cruz.
So, I brought the poor suffering little bird with hopes that the association can save its life. Unfortunately, the bird didn't make it through the night. At least, we tried hard to save its life...

Oiseau et Canne de bière/ Bird and Beer Can

For those of you who are emotionally affected by animal cruelty, those images will be disturbing. I am even wondering who would think to hurt a bird to this point.
Those images were taken in the San Francisco Bay Area. They disturb a lot. I don't know what to say or think of such gestures. It is literally immoral. We are actively looking for the suspect(s) and a $2000 reward has been offered.
If you have any information that might lead to the suspect(s), contact Rebecca Dmytryk of the Monterey County WildRescue at 831-429-2323.
