Le saut de l'oeuf! / The Egg Jump!

Jeudi dernier avait lieu le fameux saut de l'oeuf du haut d'un immeuble de 6 étage. Le concours était ouvert à tout les enfants et adolescents. Ceux-çi devaient construire un contenant et y placer leur oeuf. Cet oeuf devait survivre à la chute sans être brisé.

Nous avions mis notre oeuf dans un vieux ballon de basket, rempli de brin de scie. Même si notre expérience à la msison, la veille, avait fonctionné, l'oeuf n'a pas résisté à la chute le jour J. Tant pis... On a tout de même aimé l'expérience...

Last Thursday was the infamous egg drop contest from a 6-story high building in Watsonville. The contest was opened to any child or teenager. They had to build a container and place inside a raw egg. The egg had to survive from the fall without breaking.

We put our egg in an old basketball filled with shaving. Even though we tried successfully the experience at our house the night before, the egg didn't survive the day of the experiment. Oh well... nice try anyway.
